Education and Appointments:

Dr.Qi-En Yang is a principal investigator at the Northwest Institute of Plateau Biology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yang earned a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and a master's degree in Animal Genetics and Reproductive Biology from the China Agricultural University in 2004 and 2006. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2010. Yang spent 3 years at the Washington State University as a Lalor Foundation postdoctoral fellow and later as a research assistant professor. In 2015, he was recruited to "100 Talents Recruitment Plan" at the Northwest Institute of Plateau Biology. Dr. Yang's lab uses genetically engineered mouse models and large animals to study molecular regulation of stem cell fate decisions and reproductive isolation in mammals. His work has been published in prestigious journals including Nature Communications, Cell Reports, Development, PLoS Genetics, Stem Cell Reports, Journal of Cell Science, Biology of Reproduction.
